In his latest column for Passenger Transport magazine, pteg Director Jonathan Bray asks if freight is from Mars, is public transport from Venus? He presents ten key lessons for the inhabitants of Planet Public Transport from his trip to Planet Freight and argues that if it often seems like the two are world’s apart, they certainly shouldn’t be. New report - A Healthy Relationship: Public health and transport collaboration in local government

A new England-wide survey of Directors of Public Health commissioned by pteg has found strong evidence that public health and transport teams are working more closely together since public health teams moved into top-tier local authorities in April 2013.

Conducted by public health and transport expert Dr Adrian Davis, the survey and follow-up case studies sought to explore the extent of collaboration since the move as well as identify examples of good practice and any barriers to joint working. The findings have been published in a new report, ‘A Healthy Relationship: Public health and transport collaboration in local government.’

The key findings of the report are summarised in the infographic below. You can download ‘A Healthy Relationship: Public health and transport collaboration in local government’ here
